For Event Creators : Event Management

Unlike other event planners, OurStoryz begins with the idea that each of your events are part of a larger story. 

  • Each event is part of a larger Storyz
  • You can add lots of related events to a Storyz
  • You can create independent guest lists, invitations for each event

The full features of the Storyz system are available in all DIY or Professional accounts. Locator accounts are restricted to 1 event, so if you need more, you'll need to upgrade.



How Guests see Storyz

Your Guests will see "Storyz" as the "back story" for individual Events. 

  • Each event has its own website, since a Guest might not be invited to all the Events. However, the event websites all link to a "Storyz" page with information common to all the events.

  • The Keepsake Album is for your Storyz, with each event forming a page in your online photo album.

  • Guests with special honors may have their honors visible across all events in a Storyz. For example, a bride and groom might have "Storyz-level honors" for all the wedding-related events before and after the actual wedding



Storyz Examples


For a wedding you might create a Wedding Storyz, with the following events:

  1. Wedding rehearsal
  2. Wedding ceremony
  3. Wedding reception

For a club you might create regular meetings, and one-off yearly events for the cloud

Storyz: Club name

Events:

  1. Monthly meetings
  2. Special events

For a business you might create a Storyz grouping all the events in a large trade show or expo:

Storyz: Crypto Convention Los Angeles

Events:

  1. Seminar session1, 2, 3, 4...
  2. Company meetings within the expo
  3. Opening and closing ceremonies

For a outdoor sports event, you might create the following Storyz and Events:

Storyz: "The Big Game"

Events:

  1. Practice prior to the big event
  2. The game
  3. The post-game party




The combined guest list

Your Storyz features a list of all its events, along with which guests are invited to each event. This list allows you to manage a common guest list for all events in your Storyz, and control which of these guests are invited to specific events.

For example, you might invite a lot of people to your wedding, but only a small number of people to the wedding rehearsal.

  • For each guest, either check or un-check their invitation.
  • If you want to  set the list so everyone is invited, select "merge lists"
  • You can add a new guest by using the "Add new guest" button.



Storyz & Keepsake Albums

Each Storyz has a Keepsake Album associated with it. Think of your Keepsake as an online photo album for all your events. Each event forms a page in your larger Keepsake Album.

At the Storyz level, you can define the "covers" of your Keepsake. You can also choose a visual design theme for the Album, which will be visible on each event website associated with the Storyz.


Each event in your Storyz automatically gets a page in your Album, which can be customized. You can also manage uploads from guests. The following screen shows the event Keepsake Album page, along with guest uploads from the event.
